Meet Alina — The Qualified Primary Teacher Behind Strong Start Tuition

Alina is a qualified primary school teacher with 5+ years of classroom experience, up-to-date KS1 and KS2 curriculum knowledge, and a SENDco role that gives her a deeper understanding of how different children learn.

She does not believe in one-size-fits-all tuition. Whether your child is anxious about SATs, struggling with reading, falling behind in maths, or needs a different approach because of ADHD, autism, dyslexia or other learning differences, Alina adapts the teaching around the child — not the other way around.

Specialist SENDco Role

Sound Familiar?

Overwhelming Anxiety

SATs are approaching and your child is anxious. You've tried helping at home, but it often ends in frustration or meltdowns, leaving you feeling helpless and guilty.

Lost in the Crowd

They are lost in a class of 30, and nobody has the time to notice. This is especially challenging for neurodivergent pupils who need a different approach.

Shattered Confidence

Their confidence is gone. You may have hired unqualified tutors before who didn't get the curriculum, or crossed your fingers hoping the school would handle it.

How Strong Start Tuition Works

1

Spot the Gaps

We identify exactly where your child is struggling — without making them feel tested, judged, or overwhelmed.

2

Teach It Their Way

Alina adapts each session around how your child learns best, using her classroom and SEND experience to make difficult topics feel manageable.

3

Build SATs Confidence

Your child starts to close gaps, answer questions with more confidence, and walk into SATs feeling prepared instead of panicked.

Guarantee

We’ll help your child improve by at least 5 scaled-score points in reading, maths, or SPaG from their baseline mock

— or we’ll continue 1-to-1 tutoring for free until they do.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you teach?

Strong Start Tuition supports primary school children aged 4–11, including KS1, KS2 and SATs preparation.

Do you support children with ADHD, autism, dyslexia or anxiety?

Yes. Alina is in a SENDco role and understands that many children need a different approach to learning. Sessions are adapted around the child’s needs, confidence and learning style.

My child hates extra schoolwork. Will tuition feel like more pressure?

No. The aim is not to pile on more pressure. The aim is to help your child feel understood, rebuild confidence, and make learning feel achievable again.

Should I wait and see if school handles it?

If your child is already anxious, avoiding homework, falling behind or losing confidence, waiting can make the gap feel bigger. Taking action today gives you a clear next step to support them.
